PASSi Mural Artist Reception on DEC 11th
On Monday, December 11th, 2017, Penn Asian Senior Services is holding a Mural Artist Reception to celebrate the completion of its new mural by Ann Northrop. The muralist will be available to sign postcard copies of the mural. Funding for the mural was provided by the City of Philadelphia, Mural Arts Program.
As part of the festivities, Elmwood Park Zoo will be showcasing its “Zoo on Wheels” program and have live animals to interact with PASSi seniors and visitors.
Local politicians like Councilwomen Cherylle Parker and Helen Gym, as well as Councilman David Oh have been invited.
December 11, 2017 at 1:00pm PASSi (6926 Old York Road, Philadelphia, PA 19126) Light food and refreshments will be provided.
Founded in 2004 by Imja Choi, Penn Asian Senior Services Inc. (PASSi) promotes the well-being of Asian American seniors and other adults who are disadvantaged by their language and cultural barriers. PASSi uniquely provides home-based care in 15 different languages and operates a beautiful adult day care facility (Penn Asian Jubilee Center) that offers culturally infused programs for diverse participants. Additionally, PASSi established Penn Asian Vocational Institute (PAVI) in 2006 to develop a bilingual workforce that addresses the emerging needs of different communities by training Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides.
